                ACADEMICS

Academic  achievement, student success and college/career readiness are paramount  to the success of any school system.  School Board members will set  high expectations for all students and staff built around a challenging  and engaging curriculum. School Board members will set measurable  benchmarks and will provide all necessary resources to reach these  targets and will monitor progress of students and staff in achieving set  goals.

                    SAFETY

Students  cannot learn if they feel unsafe. School Board members will require the  Superintendent to develop and implement a comprehensive safety plan to  protect all students. This plan will include transparent, actionable  objectives with measurable goals to increase school safety.

         FISCAL COMPETENCE

School  Board members will be accountable to the Community for how funds are  spent and will be able to demonstrate effective and efficient use of  fiscal resources.  Use of discretionary funds must only be considered if  the deployment of such resources will lead to a tangible, measurable  benefit to students.

          TEACHER SUPPORT

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education sets the  vision, goals, and policy for the district.  Do you know who the  candidates are and what they stand for?  Let us help you make an  educated decision in the next election.
